What just happened? Hurricane Helene became the deadliest hurricane to hit the US mainland since Katrina. Hurricane Helene struck on Sep 26, and AT LEAST 223 persons have died, hundreds are unaccounted for, some residents and communities are isolated, and hundreds of thousands are without power from the destruction wrought by Hurricane Helene.
